Statement
Life, death, memories and nostalgia are recurrent themes in much of my work. As a vet, I see death on a daily basis, and have been moved to make work that shows my response to this. I am fascinated by how sleep and death may be confused with each other, particularly in a 2 dimensional image, which lacks the aspects of time and sound. I like to portray a narrative of human and animal interaction in my work that is ambiguous, and thus open to interpretation by the viewer.
